Flash Fiction Project

Here’s a review of the flash fiction project. The requirements are:

  • Fairy Tale story with a modern touch
  • 2 characters: the main character (female, around 15 years old), a knight
  • PG-13
  • Twist at the end
  • ~1500 words
  • We still need to decide if it will involve magic

That’s all I can think of. Let me know if you think of anything ¬†else.

We also need to decide on a  plot. Leave your comments below.

I would like to see a magic show at the festival and our female pulled onto the stage. He makes her disappear and then the show is over. The mother is sitting in the audience waiting for her daughter to return.

I would like to see the magician as a Tony Robbins character, tall and very charismatic with a lot of energy. Renaissance instruments playing “Magic Man” as the crowd goes wild.

I also suggest that with the amount of writers we have, we need to write a second story, perhaps something from the grassy knoll.

For about 20 years the Clyde/Green Springs area has been investigating a cancer cluster. The Green Springs area is known for its rehabilitation home. Rumor has it that Lucille Ball went there once to recuperate. Christopher Reeves dedicated a wing in the home.

The major employer is Whirlpool who is now under investigation. They operated a park for several years that is now being tested for contaminates.

If we can work out several stories, perhaps we could think long term and publish a book on Amazon.
